I firmly believe that skincare is essential for every season, and summer is no exception. The summer season is harsh on our skin; the sun’s UV rays coupled with high humidity levels cause damage and dehydration. Drink plenty of water, coconut water, and fresh juices to keep yourself hydrated. This will help in flushing out toxins and keep your skin looking fresh and glowing.

Going out in summer almost always leaves me with a sticky (icky) feeling on my skin. I feel like there’s a layer of glue all over me. Again, the buildup of dirt, sweat and products on the skin blocks pores and results in acne. 

Cleansing your skin thoroughly and regularly is crucial to unclog pores. You can use a mind and gentle cleanser to achieve this. This will help in keeping your skin clean and prevent breakouts.

Avoid using hot water to wash your face or take a shower as it can strip your skin of its natural oils, making it dry and dehydrated. Instead, use lukewarm or cool water to keep your skin fresh and hydrated.

If you have oily or sensitive skin, summers are then a curse. You just have more sweat, oil, dead cells, dirt and grime. It’s frustrating and annoying and that summer glow is a distant dream. 

Using a toner after cleansing helps to balance your skin’s pH level and tighten your pores. It gets to work on any kind of oil-slick situation happening on your skin and leaves you feeling and looking fresh.
